Kona Coffee Beans: There are two main types known as Type 1 beans and Type 2 beans. Type 1 beans are flat on one of their sides and oval on the other side. Based on other properties like size and moisture content each of these two types of Kona coffee beans are further divided into subtypes like Kona Prime, Kona Fancy, and Kona Number 1.
Kona Coffee: This is a variety of Arabica Coffee cultivated on the slopes of Mount Hulalalai and Mauna Loa in the North and South Kona Districts of the Big Island of Hawaii. The weather pattern of bright sunny mornings, humid rainy afternoons and mild nights create ideal coffee growing conditions.
