Review - Lavazza Italian Coffee, Qualita Oro - bean, 8.8-Ounce Bags (Pack of 4)
The roast is a light medium. You can try various grinds with an espresso machine to create your choice of a good espresso beverage. The roasted beans are excellent also for making a pretty good drip. Although for people who normally like a much darker and oilier bean they may have to acquire the mellow almost chocolaty flavor of these beans.
Lavazza Oro is really smooth and makes the mellowest espresso. It can almost be a measure to judge all other espressos by. It also makes great lattes. Lavazza is good quality coffee and reasonably priced. It has a smooth flavor that is great for brewed coffee, not too heavy or bold nor too light.
Some dedicated coffee drinkers vouch this to be real Italian espresso, the best you can find on the market. It offers the same rich flavor and sweet taste every time, without the bitterness. Customers rate it as fantastic and very satisfying.
However this is not an espresso roast coffee and the word espresso doesn't appear anywhere on the packaging. It's somewhere between city and full city roast and makes an excellent, full-bodied cup of drip coffee without a hint of any charred/burnt taste. This is Lavazza's premier quality coffee and never fails to elicit admiring inquiries when served to guests.
