Types Of Coffee Beans

Coffee beans are grown in more than 50 countries around the world. For the first time, it was discovered in Ethiopia thousands of years ago. It was soon cultivated and then spread around the world. At present, coffee comes mostly from Latin America, Western Africa and the Philippines. Coffee is also abundantly found in Indonesia and southeastern Asia.

While there are many types or varieties of coffee available in the consumer market, but there are really only two main species of coffeeplant. Each of them has a different characteristic based on the growing region, the picking method, the roasting method and finally the actual coffee preparation. The first one is the Arabica. It is the most traditional brand and is considered to be far superior in flavor. The other one, Robusta, is rich in caffeine and tastes far bitterer and more acidic, because of which it is less preferable for most domestic use.
