Caribbean French Toast1/2 c. orange juice 1/4 c. whipping cream 2 Tbsp. sugar 1 lrg. egg 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon Dash of ground nutmeg 6 (1-in.) thick slices French bread 2 Tbsp. butter or butter replacement, divided Powdered’ sugar Combine first 6 ingredients in a 13 x 9-in. baking dish. Place bread slices in mixture; turn slices to coat evenly. Let stand 5 mins. or until all liquid is absorbed. Melt 1 Tbsp. of the butter in a lrg. skillet. Add 3 slices bread; cook over med. heat 3 mins. on each side or until golden brown. Remove from pan; keep warm. Repeat procedure with remaining bread slices. Sift powdered\sugar over toast. Serve with maple syrup.
