Recipe for cooking sour cream oven doughnuts

Sour Cream Oven Doughnuts

2 c. Bisquick
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sour cream
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 Tbsp. melted butter

Heat oven to 425 degrees F.

Mix Bisquick, 1/4 c. sugar, nutmeg, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, the sour cream and egg until soft dough forms. Gently smooth dough into ball on floured cloth-covered board. Knead 10 times. Roll dough 1/2-in. thick. Cut with floured 2 1/2-in. doughnut cutter. Lift doughnuts carefully with spatula and place about 2-in.es apart on nonstick baking sheet. Bake until golden brown, 8 to 10 mins..

Mix 1/2 c. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Immediately brush entire doughnut with melted butter; dip into sugar mixture, coating all sides. Or, if desired, spread with a powdered\sugar and milk glaze.

Yield: 10 to 12 doughnuts.
