Sourdough PancakesThese lighter-than-air pancakes were the mainstay of the Forty-Niners\diet. 1 c. all-purpose flour, unsifted 2 Tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 tea. baking powder 1/2 tea. salt 1/2 tea. baking soda 1 egg, beaten 1 c. Sourdough Starter 1/2 c. milk 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil In a bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Combine egg, Sourdough Starter, milk and oil. Stir into the flour mixture until wellcombined. Using 2 Tbsp.ful of batter for each pancake, bake on a hot, lightly greased griddle until golden brown, turning once.
