Recipe for cooking almond pound cake

Almond Pound Cake3 c. sugar 1/2 lb. butter 1/2 c. shortening 5 lrg. eggs 1/4 tsp. salt 3 c. flour 3/4 c. evaporated milk plus water to make 1 c. liquid 2 tsp. almond extract or flavoring Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and salt. Cream well. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into a very lightly greased 12-c. Bundt pan. Put into cold oven. Set temperature at 320 degrees F. Bake 1 1/2 hours. Cool 15 mins. and remove from pan.
