Recipe for cooking blueberry grunt

Blueberry Grunt
4 c. fresh blueberries
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. grated orange peel
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
In a skillet, combine blueberries, sugar, and water; bring to a boil. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 mins.. In a bowl, combine the next 6 ingredients; stir in milk just until moistened (dough will be stiff). Drop by Tbsp.ful over blueberries. Cover and cook for 10 to 15 mins. or until dumplings are puffed and test done. Serve warm.
Makes approximately 8 servings.
