Recipe for cooking buttermilk cream pie

Buttermilk Cream Pie1 c. sugar minus 2 Tbsp. 1/4 c. flour plus 2 Tbsp. 1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk 1 1/3 c. buttermilk 3 egg yolks 1 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring 1 (9-in.) pie shell, baked Mix sugar and flour and add evaporated milk, buttermilk and egg yolks. Stir until smooth. Place in med.-size saucepan over med. heat and stir constantly until it thickens and begins to boil. Remove from heat, let cool, and add vanilla extract or flavoring. Pour into baked 9-in. pie shell. Meringue 3 egg whites 6 Tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. baking powder Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar gradually. Beat well and fold in baking powder. Place on top of pie filling and bake at 325 degrees F for 15 mins..
