Recipe for cooking cherry mash candy bar

Cherry Mash Candy Bar1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or butter replacement 2 c. sugar 2/3 c. evaporated milk 12 lrg. marshmallows Dash of salt 1 (6 ounce) pkg. cherry chips 1 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring 1 (12 ounce) pkg. semisweet chocolate chips 2 c. finely chopped peanuts 3/4 c. creamy peanut butter Butter a 13 x 9-in. pan. Combine butter or butter replacement, sugar, evaporated milk, marshmallows, and salt in saucepan. Bring to a boil, and boil 5 mins.. Remove from heat and stir in cherry chips and vanilla extract or flavoring, stirring until well blended. Pour into greased pan and chill for 2 hours. Melt chocolate chips, then add the chopped peanuts and peanut butter. Stir until well blended. Spread evenly over the top of the first layer. Chill until firm, then cut into bite-size squares.
