Recipe for cooking cherry mash candy

Cherry Mash Candy

2 c. sugar
2/3 c. evaporated milk
12 lrg. marshmallows
1/2 c. butter
1 (6 ounce) pkg. cherry chips
1 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring
12 oz. chocolate chips
3/4 c. peanut butter
1 lb. salted, chopped peanuts

Combine sugar, evaporated milk, marshmallows and butter. Cook over med. heat. When at boiling point, stir and boil 5 mins.. Remove from heat and add cherry chips and vanilla extract or flavoring. Pour into a 13 x 9-in. pan and chill.

Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter. Remove from heat and add peanuts. Pour over first mixture and chill.
