Recipe for cooking chocolate peanut brittle

Chocolate Peanut Brittle2 c. sugar 1 c. light corn syrup 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. salt 1 (6 ounce) pkg. semisweet chocolate chips or 1 c. 2 Tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring 1 1/2 c. salted peanuts Combine sugar, syrup, water, and salt and boil to hard crack stage (300 degrees F) without stirring. Remove from heat and quickly stir in chocolate chips, butter, vanilla extract or flavoring and peanuts. Pour quickly onto buttered baking sheet. When cool, break into pieces.
