Recipe for cooking chocolate pound cake

Chocolate Pound Cake1 c. butter, softened 1/2 c. shortening 3 c. sugar 5 eggs, beaten 3 c. cake flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 5 Tbsp. cocoa 1 c. milk 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract or flavoring Cream butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs. Mix well. Sift dry ingredients. Add to butter mixture alternately with milk and vanilla extract or flavoring. Grease and flour a 10-in. tube pan; then pour in batter. Bake at 300 degrees F for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Cool 5 mins. before removing from pan. Freezes well.
