Recipe for cooking custard pie

Custard Pie10 eggs, beaten 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring 1 qt. scalded milk 1 Tbsp. butter Scald milk and butter. Let cool and then add to egg mixture composed of eggs, sugar, nutmeg and vanilla extract or flavoring. Pour mixture into pie crust-lined (deep-dish) 9-in. pie plate. Place in a 450 degrees F preheated oven. Bake 20 mins. only. Turn heat completely off. Let pie stand in oven for 1 hour.
