Double Peanut Butter Pound Cake

1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
3 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring
5 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
Peanut Butter Frosting
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 10-in. tube pan.
In a lrg. mixing bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into butter mixture alternately with milk. Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 degrees F until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 1 hour and 15 mins..
Cool in pan 15 mins. on wire rack. Remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. Drizzle cake with Peanut Butter Frosting.
Yield: 12 servings (one slice per serving).
