Recipe for cooking layered mint chocolate candy

Layered Mint Chocolate Candy10 oz. semisweet chocolate 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk 2 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring 1 lb. white candy coating (almond bark) 1 Tbsp. peppermint extract or flavoring Few drops green food coloring, if desired Melt semisweet chocolate with 1 c. of the sweetened condensed milk. Stir in vanilla extract or flavoring. Spread half the mixture into a wax paper lined 8-in. square pan. Chill for 10 mins. or until firm. Reserve remaining chocolate mixture, but do not refrigerate yet. Melt white chocolate with remaining sweetened condensed milk. Stir in peppermint extract or flavoring and food coloring. Spread over chilled chocolate layer. Chill for 10 mins. or until firm. Spread reserved chocolate mixture on mint layer. Chill for 2 hours. Peel off paper. Cut into squares.
