Recipe for cooking mandarin chocolate candy

Mandarin Chocolate Candy1 c. sweetened condensed milk 4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate 1/4 tsp. salt 2 1/2 c. flaked sweetened coconut 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1 1/2 tsp. orange extract or flavoring Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets. In a heavy saucepan, combine the milk, chocolate and salt and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until the chocolate melts and the mixture thickens. Remove pan from the heat and quickly stir in the coconut, pecans and orange extract or flavoring. Form the mixture into sm. balls (about a tsp.ful of the mixture) and place on the prepared baking sheets. Bake until the candies are firm, 6 to 7 mins.. Immediately transfer the candies to wax paper to cool. Store in an airtight container. Makes approximately about 4 dozen.
