Recipe for cooking never fail meringue

Never Fail MeringueThis Makes approximately a tender meringue, and it will not weep! 2 tsp. cornstarch 2 Tbsp. cold water 1/2 c. boiling water 3 egg whites 6 Tbsp. sugar 1/8 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring Mix cornstarch and water. Stir into boiling water. Cook until thick and clear. Let cool completely. Beat egg whites; gradually beat in sugar, salt and vanilla extract or flavoring. Beat into cooled, cooked mixture; continue beating until mixture stands in peaks. Spread on pie. Brown in preheated 375 degree F oven.
