Recipe for cooking peach cobbler

Peach Cobbler2 c. sliced peaches 2 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 3/4 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder Dash of salt 3/4 c. milk Mix peaches with 1 c. sugar. Set aside. Melt butter in 2-qt. baking dish. Blend 1 c. sugar with remaining ingredients. Pour over melted butter. Do not stir. Put peaches on top. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until crust is golden brown. Makes approximately its own crust. NOTE: Other fruit may be substituted for peaches.
