Recipe for cooking raspberry meringue pie

Raspberry Meringue Pie1 1/4 c. sifted flour 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. margarine 1/3 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring 2 beaten egg yolks 1/4 c. sugar 2 Tbsp. cornstarch 1 (10 ounce) pkg. frozen raspberries 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped 2 egg whites 2 Tbsp. sugar Sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Cream margarine and 1/3 c. sugar; add vanilla extract or flavoring. Beat in egg yolks. Add sifted ingredients. Press into 1-in. pie plate. Mix 1/4 c. sugar and cornstarch in saucepan; add raspberries. Cook over low heat until thick. Pour over mixture in pie plate. Top with walnuts. Beat egg whites; add 2 Tbsp. sugar. Spread over walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 mins.. Yield: 6 servings
