Sour Cream Apple Pie

8 apples
1 2/3 c. sour cream
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring
1/2 tsp. salt
9-in. uncooked pie crust
Topping
1 c. walnuts
1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Pin. of salt
1/2 c. butter
Mix together with hand until lrg. crumbs form.
Set oven at 450 degrees F. Peel, core and slice apples. Mix sour cream, sugar, flour, egg, vanilla and salt. Mix with apples.
Toss into uncooked 9-in. pie crust. Bake 10 mins. at 450 degrees F then 40 mins. at 350 degrees F. Take out and crumble topping onto pie, leaving some lrg. crumbs. Bake additional 15-20 mins. until light brown.
NOTE: Place tin foil under pie while baking, filling tends to run over.
