Recipe for cooking Strawberry Marshmallow Cake

Strawberry Marshmallow Cake1 c. miniature marshmallows 2 (10 ounce) pkg. frozen sliced strawberries 1 sm. box strawberry gelatin 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. shortening 3 tsp. baking powder 1 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring 3 eggs Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Generously grease bottom only of a 13 x 9-in. pan. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan. Thoroughly combine completely defrosted berries and sugar with dry gelatin; set aside. In lrg. mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Blend at low speed until moistened. Beat 3 mins. at med. speed, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Pour batter evenly over marshmallows in greased pan. Spoon berry mixture over batter. Bake for 45 to 50 mins. or until golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
