Tollhouse Cookie Brittle1 c. butter 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring 1 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour 1 c. semisweet chocolate chips 1/2 c. nuts Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Combine butter, vanilla extract or flavoring and salt and gradually beat in sugar. Add flour and chocolate bits and mix well. Press into an nonstick 15 x 10 x 3-in. pan. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake for 25 mins.. Cool, then break into irregular pieces and drain on white paper towels.
