Recipe for cooking vanilla buttermilk pound cake

Vanilla Buttermilk Pound Cake1/2 c. vegetable oil 1 c. (2 sticks) margarine 3 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 5 lrg. eggs 3 c. flour 1 (6 ounce) can evaporated milk plus water to make 1 c. liquid 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract or flavoring 1 Tbsp. butternut flavoring Cream oil, margarine, sugar and salt for 5 mins.. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour. Fold in flavoring by hand. Pour into greased tube pan. Place cake in cold oven. Bake 1 hour and 45 mins. at 325 degrees F. Do not open oven door while baking. Remove cake from pan immediately.
