Recipe for cooking rum syrup

Rum Syrup1 c. sugar 1 Tbsp. flour 1/2 c. half-and-half 1/2 c. butter 4 tsp. light rum or 1/4 tsp. rum extract or flavoring In a sm. saucepan, combine sugar and flour. Stir in half-and-half and butter. Cook over med. heat until thick and bubbly, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in rum. Refrigerate until needed.
