Raspberry Chocolate Cake

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. butter
2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
1 c. Chaucer\s Raspberry Wine
2 eggs, beaten
1 tea. baking soda
l tea. vanilla extract or flavoring
Combine flour, sugar and buttermilk in mixing bowl. Melt butter; add cocoa and Raspberry Wine and beat to boiling point. Cool.
Pour over flour mixture, add egg, baking soda and vanilla extract or flavoring. Mix. Pour into well-greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 min. or until done. Remove and cool.
Icing
l c. butter
8 oz. cream cheese
3 Tbsp. raspberry wine
1 lb. confectioners’ sugar
2 tea. vanilla extract or flavoring
Mix together butter, cream cheese and wine. Mix until smooth. Add confectioners’ sugar and vanilla extract or flavoring and slowly mix in. Put atop the Raspberry Chocolate Cake.
