Recipe for cooking almond tea

2 c. water 3 family-size or 6 regular tea bags 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring 1 1/2 tsp. pure almond extract or flavoring 3/4 c. fresh lemon juice 6 c. cold water Bring 2 c. water to boil. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Steep for 15 mins.. Remove tea bags, squeezing out water from bags, and put tea in pitcher. Stir sugar into warm tea mixture to dissolve. Add vanilla and almond extract or flavorings, lemon juice and 6 c. cold water. Refrigerate; serve over ice. Makes approximately 2 qt..
